A petite young Asian woman in black wielding a makarov pistol and a bloody Japanese tanto dagger is running away from his pursuers on a village road. She turns back several times and shoots four of his pursuers, four uniformed Chechen rebels. She then disappears on a village and peek from a hut corner. Suddenly, a GAZ-2975 armored vehicle and two KamAZ 43501 truck escorted by several Chechen soldiers appear on the road. Soldiers disembark from the armored vehicle and trucks. Several of them check their dead and wounded friends while others run toward the village. Their commander, a large bald middle aged Chechen in camouflaged uniform and armed with an AK74SU is shouting his men ordering them to spread out and find the ninja. He stares angrily. A long diagonal cutting wound spreads on his right cheek from upper area of his mouth to near his ear.

" Another task for you, Nate." Says a man. " Chechnya.". Continues him by tossing a brown dossier to a Japanese American man in black suit sitting on a sofa in front of a low table. The man called Nate takes the dossier on which 'Confidential' word in red letter is stamped on its covering folder. The 25 years old Nathaniel 'Nate' Toshiyuki Kato, a ninja whose ancestry is of Iga ninjas and A CIA Special Activities Division personnel, a division within CIA whose tasks are on covert political action and paramilitary special operations. 


" Open it and read." Says the director.


Nate brings out the papers from it's folder and reads it on the second page. It contains a briefing paragraph, a Chechen map and a photograph of an agent. The director starts to speak again, " Four months ago, we sent an agent codenamed Rose to Chechnya in Groznensky district near Grozny to gather information about an insurgency suspect named Emil Dudaev. According to sources, he hid on the area with local rebels. The agent is required to send us information update every week. But this week, the last thing we received from her was a distress signal."


" Sir, do you want me to exfiltrate her from the area?" Asks Nate.


" Yes. Apparently you have read my intention." Says the director.


" Does Russian government knows anything about her?" Asks Nate.


" Yes. But only the top echelon including the president." Answers the director.


" Once you get there. You're on your own. Nobody knows you're there. Not even Russian soldiers around. So they would likely to mistook you. Keep yourself away from trouble. Do not, I repeat, do not harm any Russian soldier. You know why. It will create international dispute."


The director continues, " Your task is to locate and take her to Georgia. Dead or alive."


" When will I go, sir?" Asks Nate
